Changing Money in Poland

Most international credit and debit cards can be used to withdraw money from bankomaty (ATMs) in Poland.

Private currency-exchange offices known as kantor usually open from 9am-6pm on weekdays and from 9am-2pm on Saturdays.

The big cities will have some 24/7 kantor. They deal in cash only for the major currencies.

Upmarket hotels in Poland can also exchange money but at less favorable rates.

Some shops may not have change for larger denomination 100 zloty notes, so keep some smaller denomination notes handy for cafes and bars.

See here for conversion rates to and from the Polish zloty.
