Euro 2016
The 2016 European Championships have been awarded to France.
Euro 2016 will be the 3rd time the European Championships have been hosted in France following tournaments in 1960 and 1984 (which France won).
Euro 2016 is the first European Championship finals with 24 participating nations.
The Euro 2016 tournament will take place from June 10 to July 10, 2016.

Host Cities
The nine Euro 2016 hosts cities in France will be:
Paris, Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Marseille, Nice, Saint Etienne, Toulouse and Lyon.
Euro 2016 Stadiums
The complete list of 10 Euro 2016 stadiums is:
Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille (50,000 capacity), Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens (35,000 capacity), Parc des Princes (45,000 capacity) and Stade de France (80,000 capacity) in the French capital, Paris, the Stade de Bordeaux in Bordeaux (42,000 capacity), Stade des Lumieres in Lyon (58,000 capacity), Stade Geoffrey-Guichard in Saint-Etienne (42,000 capacity), Stadium Municipal in Toulouse (33,000 capacity), Stade Velodrome in Marseille (67,000 capacity) and Stade de Nice (Allianz Riviera) in Nice (35,000 capacity).
There will be six groups of four teams with the top two teams in each group going through to the next round with the best four first round teams.
