Group D is another extremely competitive group with North Korea fresh from a World Cup appearance in South Africa in 2010, Iraq are the reigning Asian champions, Iran are a continental soccer giant and UAE will be no mugs on familar soil either.
It's difficult to predict the top two teams from these four, but surely Iran will take one of the spots.
The sixteen competing teams are divided into four groups of four teams.
The top two teams from each group progress to the quarterfinals.

The Asian Cup is the Asian Football Confederation's premier international tournament and is now held every four years.
The 2011 Asian Cup takes place in Qatar.
The tournament will be held in 5 stadiums, 4 of them in Qatar's capital Doha:
the 50,000 capacity Khalifa International Stadium
the 25,000 capacity Al-Gharafa Stadium
the 19,000 capacity Qatar SC Stadium and
the 15,000 capacity Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The other stadium to be used is the
Ar Rayyan Ahmed bin Ali Stadium which seats 25,000 spectators.
