Photograph of Shizuoka Stadium

Shizuoka is known as the heartland of Japanese soccer and is home to two of the J-Leagues most successful teams - Shimizu S-Pulse and Jubilo Iwata. The new 51,349 seat Ecopa stadium was completed in May 2001 and is set in parkland with its own rail station. The stunning cauldron-like all-purpose stadium incorporates a number of eco-friendly features and will host future Shimizu and Jubilo games.
