The Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium was built by Hyundai and boasts an eco-friendly design and seats 42,086.
It was completed in time for the Confederations Cup in June 2001 after 4 years under construction. The turf is imported from Australia and the colors of the seats correspond to the points of the compass and the local Chulyong festival. There are 2 video screens for instant replays and the ground has a real football 'feel' with the nearest seats only 5m from the pitch.
The impressive stadium set in surrounding parkland will become the home ground of the Hyundai Ulsan Tigers after the World Cup.
