Ahead of the Champions League Final, Cosmic Football looks at the astrological charts of Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Sir Alex Ferguson and Josep Guardiola.Looking at these charts, success is an obvious theme throughout. Josep Guardiola has Mars in Scorpio, conjunct Jupiter. Jupiter is very prominent throughout his chart as is the sign of Sagittarius - strong indicators of luck and success. What is very clear to me that Guardiola will manage a club outside of Spain, where he will become a true legend. Sagittarius is a sign that rules foreign countries and travel, so either he will become successful with an overseas club or a national team. Either way, Guardiola has a long and fantastic career ahead of him as a manager. My guess is that Josep Guardiola will not be manager of FC Barcelona for longer than perhaps another season. Neptune is currently conjunct the north node of his Moon. This is to do with direction in life and presently, despite his success with Barca, I think Guardiola will be a little bit unsure of his future. He also has Jupiter conjunct with his north node at the moment, which represents a new opportunity and making a sudden change. Looking at Sir Alex Ferguson's natal chart, indicating the planet placements when he was born, a lot of his personality traits are very visible here. Mars was in Aries when he was born, making for an extremely hot-headed character and someone with a big temper. He has both Saturn and Uranus in Taurus, making him extremely tenacious and determined. This kind of arrangement makes a person able to overcome disappointment, something he has always done throughout his career. Sir Alex has a lot of Capricorn in his chart, having both the Sun and Mercury, making him stubborn and completely adamant in his own belief. Capricorn is traditionally the star-sign for career, making it likely he would always do well in his chosen profession.
Ferguson currently has Saturn conjunct the north node of his moon. That makes me think something could happen to stop him do what he is currently doing. It could be a permanent thing, but it could also be something that puts him out of work for a spell of time. Obviously, the most likely obstacle to Sir Alex remaining at Manchester United will be any health problems he may encounter. Saturn is to do with structure and when it is present in certain areas of someone's chart, it can prevent them doing what they want. As I say, this is conjunct the north node of his moon and I can see something affecting him in the immediate future - as soon as next season. Sir Alex's Kyron, or his Achillies' heal, is in the sign of Leo, which rules the heart. Hopefully this will not prove significant. What is fascinating is to look at the charts of Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson together. They are so similar it was like the club and manager were made for each other. It's no surprise Sir Alex has been at Old Trafford so long. Both club and manager have Mars in Aries and also have lots of Taurus and Capricorn across their charts. There is a strong Sagittarius link between Barcelona and Guardiola, but the harmony between the two charts isn't anywhere near as strong as that between Manchester United and Sir Alex. Guardiola has the north node of his moon in Sagittarius, which signifies moment and doing things suddenly. As he is a young manager, I get the feeling he will want to make a number of moves early on in his career, which is why I don't see him staying at Barca long. The club itself also has a lot of change in their chart in with Uranus going through the sign of Aquarius. This should be positive change and I can see them being the dominant football force in Spain for a long time.
I think Manchester United will edge the game in Rome. Both the charts of Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson have a lot of Jupiter and Mars activity in them at the moment. Jupiter is a planet of expansion and luck, while Mars is the 'red planet' and signifies power, strength and success. Alex Ferguson has a Mars conjunction hitting his natal Mars during the week of the Champions League Final, which is extremely powerful. There is Jupiter squaring Mars in his chart which signifies luck. Jupiter is sextile Mars in Manchester United's chart at the present time - again signifying good fortune. The final is going to be one hell of a game for the neutrals. It is going to be extremely close and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it goes to penalties. On the day of the game there is a tremendous amount of planetary and specifically, Mars activity. There will be a lot of fire and anger, which is likely to overspill. I can definitely see there being a red card. I can also see the game being a 'tit-for-tat' encounter, with plenty of goals and the score line always remaining close. I could even see a 3-3 final score, with United winning on penalties, as they did against Spurs in the League Cup Final.
