Citizens of European Union (EU) member states do not require visas to enter Switzerland.

Visa stamps.

Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, Norway, Iceland, New Zealand and South Africa do not require visas to enter Switzerland whether on business or vacation.

A maximum of a three-month stay applies and six months total in one year, though passports are rarely stamped. Carry your passport as your identity document at all times.

All citizens of other countries need to obtain a valid 3-month tourist visa from the Swiss embassy or consulates in their country.
