In the April World Fifa Rankings of 2013, Euro 2012 and 2010 World Cup winners Spain remain at the top of the rankings for yet another month, with quite a bit of movement among the top teams. Below Spain are Germany, Argentina, then Croatia, Portugal, Colombia, England, down from 4th, Italy, Netherlands and Ecuador.

Copa America winners Uruguay are 17th. Brazil are down again to 19th position - their lowest ever spot in the rankings. Belgium are up to 16th position.

Ivory Coast are the top African team in 12th, up one from last month.

Asian Cup winners Japan are in 29th place, a drop of three places after defeat to Jordan in a World Cup qualifier.

South Korea are in 42nd position, a rise of five places. Both Japan and South Korea are on course to qualify for World Cup 2014 in Brazil and are among the top ranked teams in Asia together with Australia.

The USA are in 28th place, up five places from last month. Scotland are in 77th position.

The Republic of Ireland are in 39th place, Wales are big risers to 49th, Northern Ireland are 119th, a large drop.
