Aveiro Stadium

Estádio Municipal de Aveiro (new) - 30,000 capacity.

The city of Aveiro is home to SC Beira Mar, a first division side in the Portuguese domestic league that played its home matches at the 14,000 capacity Estádio Mario Duarte. Thanks to Euro 2004, the team will be playing in a brand new stadium that was purpose-built for the tournament. Designed by architect Tomás Taveira the colorful, toy-like Estádio Municipal stadium cost US$39 million to build and has a capacity of 30,000. The stadium is characterized by its multi-colored exterior and seating.

Getting There

The stadium is located in Taboeira, 5km north-east of the center of town.
