Estádio José Alvalade (new) - 52,000 capacity.

The Estádio José Alvalade is the new home of Sporting Lisbon and built alongside Sporting's old stadium. The US$89m project is part of a larger development incorporating a shopping complex, a bowling alley, a multiplex cinema and numerous restaurants. The Estádio José Alvalade was officially inaugurated August 6 2003 with a match between Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United. The stadium was designed by Portuguese architect Tomás Taveira.
