Entering Germany
400 cigarettes (or 50 cigars, or 250g tobacco).
2 litres wine or 1 litre spirits (hard liquor).
1 laptop, 1 radio, 1 tape recorder, 1 typewriter, 1 video camera,
1 still camera + 10 rolls of film, 1 bicycle, fishing equipment,
skis, golf clubs.
Leaving Germany
UK – duty-free (providing goods are for personal
use*).
Return by using the EU-only Blue Channel on your return.
*Personal use means 3,200 cigarettes, 200 cigars, 400 cigarillos,
3 kilos tobacco, 10 litres of spirits, 90 litres of wine, 20 litres
of fortified wine, 110 litres of beer.
Canada – you can bring back C$750 worth of goods,
but only once a year. Duty-free, yuou may bring back 1 carton cigarettes,
50 cigars, 1 tin tobacco, 40 oz liquor.
Before departure, please complete form Y-38 on which write serial
numbers of cameras, etc.

Australia – duty-free, A$400. 250 cigarettes or 250g
tobacco, 1.125 litres liquor. Form B263 will allow you to reenter
with foreign-made goods like cameras.
(Duty-free allowance for under-18’s is A$200).

USA – if you have been away for more than 48 hours
you can bring back $800 worth of goods duty-free. Duty must be paid
for values over that.

NZ – NZ$700. If you are over 17: 200 cigarettes,
