The Old Stock Exchange building (Leipzig Alte Handelsbörse) and the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) are historic buildings on the Markt in Leipzig. The Old Stock Exchange was designed by Johann Georg Starcke and was erected in 1687. Though destroyed in World War II, the building was completely rebuilt by 1962. The Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) is home now to the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum and dates from 1556. This building too was restored after World War II.
