Kaiserbrunnen or Emperor's Fountain on the Mainzer Gate in Kaiserslautern is a modern statue unveiled in 1987. The Emperor's Fountain statue presents the historic figures of Emperor Frederic Barbarossa and King Rudolf von Habsburg and has various motifs relating to the city of Kaiserslautern including an Opel car, a sewing machine, a football, and various animals including, a donkey, an owl and a fish. The statue is the work of Gernot Rumpf.
