The Japanese and British press did their best to spoil the party even before it had begun. For the Japanese media the keyword was 'hooligan' and the British tabs were convinced fans couldn't afford to eat.
Gareth Southgate and Gary Lineker assessed England's chances for us and we had an inkling Korea would perform when we interviewed Jan Roelfs - Guus Hiddink's technical co-ordinator.
