The 2004 European Championships in Portugal were won by rank outsiders Greece in a tense final 1-0 against the hosts in Lisbon.

The big guns such as Germany, Italy, Spain, France and England missed out but the tournament was an unforgettable experience for the hundreds of thousands of supporters who flocked to Portugal's historic cities and its great beaches in the Algarve.
