Clock tower, Berne - the Zytglogge was once a part of Bern's western gate

The Zytglogge (Zeitglockenturm) clock tower in Bern, Switzerland dates from the early 13th century. The Zytglogge's 15th-century astronomical clock is constructed in the form of an astrolabe. The whole monument is a UNESCO World heritage Listed site an an icon of the Swiss capital city of Bern.
