MHPArena (formerly Gottlieb-Daimler Stadion, then Mercedes-Benz-Arena and now MHPArena from 2023)Presently known as the MHPArena, the stadium is home to Bundesliga team VfB Stuttgart and has a capacity of 60,000 spectators. The first stadium was built on this site in 1933.
The MHPArena (formerly the Mercedes-Benz Arena until 2023) in Stuttgart was originally opened in 1933 under the name "Neckarstadion" due to its location near the Neckar River. It has undergone several renovations, refurbishments and expansions over the years.
In 2008, the stadium was renamed the Mercedes-Benz Arena after a sponsorship agreement with Mercedes-Benz, the major German automotive manufacturer based in the city. From July 2023 the stadium is known as the MHPArena in a joint venture between Porsche, another major German car manufacturer based in the city, and the UK-based MHP consultancy group. For Euro 2024 it will be known as Stuttgart Arena.
The stadium has a seating capacity of around 60,449 spectators and is home to VfB Stuttgart of the Bundesliga. Situated in the Bad Cannstatt district of Stuttgart, the stadium is easily accessible by public transport using the U-Bahn, S-Bahn or bus.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum is close to the ground as well as a Mercedes factory and the company's HQ.
