Thomaskirche, Leipzig.

Johann Sebastian Bach lived in Leipzig from 1723 until his death in 1750. Bach was the musical instructor (cantor) of the Thomasschule at Thomaskirche and it is here the composer is buried. The present church buildings date from 1496. Martin Luther is known to have preached here in 1539.
