The precise date of ordering within the first sales phase is immaterial.
Applications will not be processed chronologically, but rather via
a lottery at the end of the first phase planned for April

Any tickets left over from the first round of sales will be available
on a first-come, first-serve basis until November 15, 2005.
The Second Sales Period runs from December 1 2005 - January

A tiny microchip on the ticket containing access information, but
not personal data, will guard against forgeries.

What Type Of Tickets To Buy
Tickets for the World Cup finals - held only once every four years
- are some of the most sought-after in sport.
The hosts Germany are guaranteed to be playing but tickets for
the host nation's games will be in high demand.
It is almost certain that the 'big' teams: Brazil, Argentina, Italy,
England, France, The Netherlands, Spain, Nigeria, Japan, USA, Mexico
etc will make it through to the finals. However tickets for these
teams, with the probable exception of Nigeria, will also be in high
demand from their own fans, with tickets for the hosts, Germany,
England and The Netherlands at a premium.
You can apply for 'follow my team' tickets to follow the team
you support on the FIFA website but might be unlucky due to the
demand.
You can also apply for tickets for a less well-supported team in
the hope of seeing some games. Remember this is the "World
Cup" and is as much about the atmosphere and meeting people
from other countries as getting to see your team.
You can also join your country's official supporters' association
in the hope of getting tickets through that channel but priority
is usually given to long-term members who have followed their national
team at home and/or overseas. 8% of the capacity of each venue is
reserved for the fans of the competing teams through their respective
official supporters' associations.
