World Cup 2006 Qualifying: Europe - Group 6

This group has something of a "Battle of Britain" feel to it with England, Wales and Northern Ireland in the same group. The main challengers to England's expected automatic qualification should be Poland (yet again in England's group), Wales and Austria. Azerbaijan and the journey to Baku, the capital, is a trip in to the unknown for most players, coaches and supporters.

England qualify for Germany virtue of Holland's win in the Czech Republic as do Poland.
