The new US$34.6m Estádio Algarve is home to both first division club SC Farense and Loulé's less glamorous Louletano. The new stadium is located in São João da Venda, midway between Faro and Loulé, and is part of the new Parque das Cidades development, which includes a botanical garden, landscaped spaces, a lake and a nine-hole golf course. The Estádio do Algarve was designed by HOK Sport+Venue+Event. 20,000 of the 30,000 seats are covered by the fabric roof.
Getting There
The stadium is located 8 km north-west of Faro on the road to Loulé. There is a stop at Parque das Cidades on the Lisbon - Faro railway.
