The matches will be played at the 45,000-capacity Toyota Stadium and the 72,000 capacity Yokohama International Stadium (venue for the 2002 World Cup final), which is about 40 minutes or less from Tokyo.
FC Barcelona, a team with the talents of Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and David Villa should be too strong for their expected opponents in the final, Santos, who can boast the unpredictable talents of Neymar.
Al Sadd are the first Qatari team to reach the Fifa Club World Cup after a bad-tempered win over Jeonbuk Motors of Korea's K-League. Well coached by Uruguayan Jorge Fossati, Al Sadd will be keen to prove Qatari soccer is on the rise ahead of hosting the 2022 World Cup.
Flying the flag for Oceania and New Zealand soccer are Auckland City who have appeared at this stage before and always given a good account of themselves. In 2009 they beat the hosts in Abu Dhabi, Al Ahli and TP Mazembe Englebert, the champions of Africa and last year's losing finalists to Inter.
Mexican side Pachuca from Hilgado state are making their third appearance at the World Club Cup but have not performed well so far on the big stage. Los Tuzos will be hoping for better this time around.
Esperance Sportive de Tunis, aka Les Sang et Or (Blood and Gold) are a Tunisian powerhouse with 14 domestic league titles, but this is their first appearance at this level.
The home side is now decided with promoted Kashiwa Reysol winning their first J-League title. With a South American manager and a core of South American players, Kashiwa should beat Auckland to set up a semi-final match with Santos.
