2030 FIFA World Cup
The 2030 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.
In addition, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay will also host games to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first FIFA World Cup, held in Uruguay in 1930.
The first game takes place in the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay. The second and third games will be held in Argentina and Paraguay. The rest of the games will be held in Morocco, Portugal and Spain.
The 48 teams will be divided into 12 groups of 4 teams. The top 2 of each group and the 8 best third-placed teams will progress to a Round of 32 stage. This is the same format first adopted for World Cup 2026.
Schedule
The tournament takes place from June 8 to July 21, 2030. The opening match will be at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay. The second game will be held at Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the third game at Estadio Osvaldo Domínguez Dibb in Asuncion, Paraguay.

The prospective venue cities are Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Asuncion in South America; A Coruña, Barcelona, Bilbao, Las Palmas, Madrid, Málaga, San Sebastián, Seville, and Zaragoza in Spain, Lisbon and Porto in Portugal; Agadir, Casablanca, Fez, Marrakech, Rabat and Tangier in Morocco.
