Cambodian Premier League

Cambodian football is organised by the Football Federation of Cambodia, with the Cambodian Premier League (CPL) as the top professional division. A national championship has existed since 1982; it became a sponsored professional league in 2005 and was rebranded as the CPL in 2022.

Eleven clubs play a regular season, after which the top six contest a championship round.

Phnom Penh Crown hold the record with eight titles, while Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng are the current powerhouse, winning three straight championships from 2023-24 to 2025-26. The Hun Sen Cup and Cambodian Super Cup complete the domestic calendar, and the champion qualifies for AFC club competition.

Clubs

Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng

The 2025-26 champions and three-time title holders in a row, Svay Rieng are the dominant club of the current era and also won the 2026 Super Cup. Based in Svay Rieng province, they play a high-scoring style and have become Cambodia's leading name in regional club football. Home is the 6,000 capacity Svay Rieng Stadium.

Phnom Penh Crown

The most successful club in Cambodian history with eight league titles, Crown were runners-up in each of Svay Rieng's three recent championships. They remain the capital's flagship side, with a strong academy and a consistent presence in AFC competition. They play their home games at the 5,000 capacity RSN Stadium, presently known as the Smart RSN Stadium for sponsorship reasons.

Angkor Tiger

Based in Siem Reap, the Tigers finished third in 2025-26 after one of the league's most prolific attacking seasons. They have become the main provincial challenger to the Phnom Penh and Svay Rieng clubs. Home is the 2,000 capacity Akihiro Kato Stadium, named after the club's owner.

Boeung Ket

Nicknamed the Blue Dragon, Boeung Ket have four league titles (2012, 2016, 2017, 2020) and now play at the 30,000 capacity, multi-use Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh. They finished fourth in 2025-26 and remain one of the country's most established professional clubs.

Nagaworld

NagaWorld, backed by the casino group of the same name were founded in 2001. They have four titles and were long a title rival in the 2000s and 2010s. They finished fifth in 2025-26 and continue to mix experienced locals with foreign signings. They are based at the 3,000 capacity Kampong Speu Stadium.

MOI Kompong Dewa

The Ministry of Interior club (promoted in recent seasons and rebranded) reached the 2025-26 championship round in sixth place. They represent the rise of institutional and newly professionalised sides in the modern CPL.

Visakha

A well-backed Phnom Penh club that has regularly finished in the top half and reached several Super Cup finals. They missed the 2025-26 championship six but remain one of the Cambodian league's bigger spenders and cup sides. Their Visakha Stadium (Prince Stadium) has a capacity of 15,000.

Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (Tiffy Army)

The army club is one of Cambodia's oldest football institutions, with titles in the 1980s and early 1990s. In the professional era they have been a mid-to-lower table CPL side, finishing outside the championship group in 2025-26. The club's home ground is RCAF Stadium (Royal Cambodia Armed Forces Stadium), also known as the Old Stadium or Lambert Stadium in Phnom Penh. It has a capacity of 8,000.

Kirivong Sok Sen Chey

Based in Takeo province, Kirivong are a smaller provincial club that won League 2 in 2016 and have since held on in the top flight. They finished in the bottom half in 2025-26. They play at the 1,000 capacity Kirivong Sok Sen Chey Stadium.

Life Sihanoukville

The first top-flight club from Preah Sihanouk province after winning League 2 in 2023-24. Life are still establishing themselves at CPL level and finished near the foot of the 2025-26 table. Catch them at the 3,000 capacity Life Stadium.

ISI Dangkor Senchey

A Phnom Penh club that plays at the compact ISI Park (capacity 3,000) and has stayed in the Premier League through modest means. The team in all blue finished last in the 2025-26 regular season and remain a development-focused side rather than a title contender.
