MLS Side to Complete Stunning Move for Italy Forward
Ace Italian forward Lorenzo Insigne is on his way to join Major League Soccer (MLS).
This season, Toronto FC is signing Lorenzo from Napoli, a well-known series A club. This remarkable announcement was made by the Major League Soccer Club on Saturday. Lorenzo has been contracted for four years and as per speculations, he is going to join his new team soon along with the International certificate of transfer.
This is stunning news for MLS in general and Toronto FC in particular according to Asian sportsbook Vwin99. Judging by the disappointing performance that the team has put up in the last Eastern Conference season, this signing will be a boost to the team and might help to uplift the team's morale. In the last Eastern Conference, Toronto FC finished second-last with a mere six wins out of 34 matches. As far as the remunerations are concerned, it is $15 million for a season.
Quoting Bill Manning, the Toronto FC president, he said "This is an exciting and historic day for the club."
He also said, "Lorenzo is one of the best attacking players in the world with prime form. He is champion and performed extraordinarily in the Serie A for Napoli, during his playing days in that club. Lorenzo can turn cringe games in our favor. He is a player full of passion and joy, and our fans will love watching Insigne play and win and do great for their team."
Bob Bradley, the supporting director and head coach of Toronto FC said, "We are all set to have Lorenzo in our team this upcoming summer."
He also added, "He has a special talent of creating chances for the team to score. I followed his game for so long, and know that he is a team man. Lorenzo is one of the few players to watch because at anything he can do something out of this world."
Insigne has experience of around 400 club games under his belt. This is advantageous for him with his new team Toronto FC. His debut was back in 2010. Toronto FC is going to be the fifth club team after Cavese, Foggia, Pescara, and lastly, Napoli. As a member of a team, he won the Italian championship cup twice, in 2014 and then in 2020. Insigne gained fame as a football star mainly from his playing career in Napoli.
Insigne, who will be turning 31 this year, has also been a crucial member of his national team with 10 goals in 53 matches. We can not forget the role he has played for Italy in winning the Euro title in 2020.
Regarding the joining of Insigne in Toronto FC, President Manning also said "I think that we will be able to fit with our club very well. We play for being Champions and watching his role behind Napoli's success, we know what he is capable of doing. He is going to be the main man for our team for the upcoming four seasons and soon we will regain the champions title."
