Stadion Georgi Asparuhov is the home stadium of Levski Sofia in the capital of Bulgaria.
The ground has a capacity of 17,688 and is named after Bulgarian footballer Georgi Asparuhov (1943-1971) who made over 200 appearances for the club in two spells before his death at a young age in a traffic accident. Other stadiums in the Bulgarian capital include Stadion Lokomotiv and the new Stadion Balgarska Armia (home of CSKA Sofia) which is under construction and expected to open in late 2026.

The stadium opened in 1963. The pitch size is 105 x 68 meters, featuring a natural grass surface, a running track (no longer in use) and floodlights.
The stadium was renovated in both 1999 and 2016.
History
Levski Sofia have played at the ground since its completion in 1963. Former names of the ground were Levski Stadium from 1963 to 1990 and the Vivacom Arena - Georgi Asparuhov from 2017 to 2024.
Between 1936 and 1949 Levski played at the Levski Field ground that was demolished in 1949 to make way for the Vasil Levski National Stadium and later at the nearby Yunak Stadium, which now lies in ruins.
The club have plans to build a new £105 million stadium in the future with a 24,000 capacity for football and up to 40,000 for other events, such as concerts.

Levski Sofia
Levski Sofia, nicknamed 'The Blues' were founded in 1914 by a group of high school students.
The team have never been relegated from the top flight and are named after national hero Vasil Levski (1837-1873) who fought against Ottoman rule and gave his life for Bulgarian freedom.
The club have won 27 league titles and counting as well as 28 domestic cups to date.
On the European stage, The Blues have appeared in the UEFA Cup and in 2006 made history by becoming the first Bulgarian club to ever qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage. They have also appeared in both the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.
Besides Georgi Asparuhov aka "Gundi" some famous players to wear the blue shirts are striker Pavel Panov from the 1970s, Georgi "Gonzo" Ivanov in the late 1990s and 2000s and midfielder Daniel Borimirov who was part of the 1994 World Cup squad.
The team plays in all blue hence their nickname. They contest the Sofia derby, known as the Eternal Derby (Вечното дерби) - the fierce rivalry between Levski Sofia and CSKA Sofia (who play in red), the two most popular and successful clubs in the country.

Access - Getting To Stadion Georgi Asparuhov
Stadion Georgi Asparuhov is situated in the Suhata reka district of Sofia, east of the city center.
The Georgi Asparuhov Stadium Metro Station on Sofia Metro Line 3 is convenient for the ground as are local buses 78 and 100. Trolleybus lines 1 and 3 also serve the area right outside the stadium.
Accessibility
The ground offers basic wheelchair accessibility. The venue features traditional open-air stands and older seating arrangements that lack extensive, modern barrier-free adaptations.
