Alphamega Stadium, Limassol, Cyprus
The Alphamega Stadium (aka Limassol Stadium / Νέο Γήπεδο Λεμεσού) is the home ground of 3 clubs in Cypriot football: AEL, Apollon, and Aris.
The 10,830 capacity soccer-specific stadium is the fifth largest soccer stadium and the second-largest soccer-specific stadium in Cyprus.
For sponsorship reasons the stadium is known as the Alphamega Stadium; as well as league football, the stadium has hosted the Cyprus national side and Champions League football, recently with Pafos playing home games here, as their Stelios Kyriakides Stadium does not meet UEFA standards for the competition.
History
The stadium opened in 2022 after three years of construction at a cost of over €45 million.
The first match to be held at the new ground was Apollon v Doxa Katokopias in the Cypriot First Division.
