Estadio La Rosaleda, Malaga
La Rosaleda Stadium (Estadio La Rosaleda) is the home ground of Primera Federación side Malaga CF.
Capacity
The 30,044 capacity stadium in Malaga opened in 1941 with a match between CD Málaga and AD Ferroviaria. The official inauguration was later that year in a match between CD Málaga and Sevilla FC.
The stadium has also been subsequently renovated most recently in 2006.
1982 World Cup
La Rosaleda staged three matches at the 1982 World Cup in Spain - Scotland and New Zealand v the Soviet Union and Scotland v New Zealand. It has also hosted various European matches when the home team competed in the Champions League and Europa League. The ground has also been used for a number of music concerts.
Access - Getting There
Malaga is a large port city in Andalusia in southwest Spain. It is well connected by both rail and bus to other major cities in Spain as well as having an international airport (Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport).
The stadium is north of the centro historico (old town) and easily accessible by public transportation, including buses and trains. It is situated relatively close to Málaga's city center, making it convenient for both local and visiting fans.
