Vanloq Community Stadium (Ainslie Park) in Edinburgh, Scotland, in the north of the city is the home ground of Spartans FC and the club's women's team in the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL). The men's team competes in Scottish League Two, the fourth tier of football in Scotland. The league consists of 10 teams.

The winners of the league are promoted to Scottish League One. The clubs finishing second, third, and fourth in League Two, then enter a two-legged League One play-off with the ninth placed team in League One.

Capacity

The modern, enclosed stadium has a capacity for 3,000 spectators, including 504 seats. The ground meets both SFA and SFL standards and has a 3G artificial pitch and floodlights. Adjacent to the main ground is another full-size, floodlit artificial pitch.

The Club: Spartans FC

The club formed in 1951 for ex-players of Edinburgh University though is now open to everyone ("other interested parties"). Spartans started life in the East of Scotland League. In the 2010-11 season Spartans were the first team in East of Scotland history to win the domestic clean sweep, winning all five trophies on offer.

The team have also enjoyed some notable cup runs over the years defeating higher ranked teams along the way. The Spartans play in white shirts, red shorts and white socks.

Access - Getting There

The stadium is in the north of Edinburgh. Lothian Buses 21 and 27 are the most convenient. Alight at the Morrison's supermarket near the Crewe Toll intersection. Bus numbers 19, 22, 24, 29, 37 also go to Crewe Toll.

From both Haymarket Station and Edinburgh Waverley Station there are bus connections to the ground. From Haymarket walk to Queensferry Street and take a 19. From Waverley take a 29 or 37.

No dogs allowed except service dogs.
