Japan Stadiums: Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka, Tokyo
Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka (味の素フィールド西が丘) in Tokyo is a soccer specific stadium administered by the Japan Sports Council. It is part of the large Ajinomoto National Training Center which includes tennis courts, outdoor futsal pitches, the Japan High Performance Sport Center and an Athlete's Village. It is one of several soccer stadiums within the Tokyo metropolitan area.
History & Capacity
The stadium first opened in 1972 and has a capacity of 7,137.
The surface is natural grass and the stadium possesses pylon-style floodlights.
Only a portion of the main stand is covered. The stadium has had its present sponsored name 'Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka' since 2012.
Uses
The stadium is used occasionally by JFL side Yokogawa Musashino FC and also by Tokyo Verdy men's and women's teams (Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza), with Beleza playing here on a more frequent basis.
JFL side Criacao Shinjuku also plays its home matches at the ground.
Tokyo FC's reserve side FC Tokyo U-23 played in J3 at the ground between 2016 and 2020 when the team was dissolved.
Over the years several J.League clubs have staged matches at the ground for various reasons including renovations at their usual stadium and adverse weather conditions. These include Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, Tochigi SC, Omiya Ardija, FC Tokyo, Tokyo Verdy, and Kawasaki Frontale.
Due to structural problems at their Sunpro Alwin Stadium, Matsumoto Yamaga are completing their remaining fixtures of 2025 at Nishigaoka.
Access - Getting There
The ground is a ten-minute walk from Motohasunuma Station on the Toei Mita Line. Alternatively the ground is a 25-minute walk from Akabane Station or a 10 minute bus ride. Buses 赤50, 赤51, 赤57 and 赤80-2 are all convenient.

Akabane Nature Observatory Park
The public park opened in 1999 and includes a spring, acorn forest, a rice field and a preserved farmhouse with a thatched roof.
Shimizuzaka Park
The park has a roller slide, various water features, and an open lawn space.
