The Empire Sports Ground (formerly the Ron Steel Sports Ground) in the Dunkirk area of Nottingham is the home ground of Dunkirk FC.
Capacity
The stadium has a capacity of around 150 people sitting out of a total capacity of around 1,500.
Facilities
The ground has pylon style floodlighting installled in the 1980s and a good natural turf pitch. It is part of a large expanse of meadow on the north bank of the River Trent that includes other pitches for both football, cricket and rugby as well as facilities for golf.
There is a small seated stand behind one goal with seats for around 30 people and a larger seated stand down one side of the pitch with room for about 120 spectators and a smaller covered standing area.
The bar/clubhouse serves tea, chips, burgers, alcoholic drinks (beer, cider, lager) and can take card payments.

Club
Nicknamed 'The Boatmen' the team plays in red shirts and black shorts. The name stems from the area's associated with the river. Dunkirk FC was formed in 1946 by local football enthusiast Ron Steel, after whom the ground was initially named. They began in the Notts Amateur League and now compete in the United Counties League (UCL), levels nine to ten on the pyramid. In the 1994-94 season the team reached the last 16 of the FA Vase.

Access - Getting There
The stadium is in the Dunkirk area of Nottingham, south of the city center along the River Trent, close to both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University Clifton Campus.
From Nottingham railway station it would take about 45 minutes to walk to the ground with some of the route along the river.
By bus from the station take a number 48 and get of at the Clifton Bridge North stop or the 49 and alight at Bull Close Road; from both stops it is about 8-10 minutes on foot.
The nearest tram stop is Wilford Lane about 20 minutes on foot.
The ground is close to the Michelin-starred restaurant Sat Bains, also on Lenton Lane.

The club house has access for wheelchairs and toilets allowing wheelchair access.
