Japan Stadiums: Basic Stadium Toin, Mie Prefecture
Basic Stadium Toin (BASICスタジアム東員) is a multi-purpose stadium in Toin, Mie Prefecture, central Japan. For sponsorship reasons it has been known as Basic Stadium Toin since February 2026.
Upon opening the stadium was simply called Toin Town Sports Park Athletics Stadium. Between 2020 and 2023 the ground was renamed the Asahi Gas Energy Toin Stadium (AsaSta) after the Asahi Gas Energy company acquired the naming rights and then became the LA・PITA Toin Stadium (Lapista) from 2023 to 2026.
The stadium is the home ground of Veertien Mie's men's and women's soccer teams.
History & Capacity
The stadium has an 8-lane 400 meters running track in addition to an athletics circuit around the natural grass playing surface. It has one partially covered main stand and opened back in 1992.
Since 2023 the stadium has 4 floodlight towers which are mandatory to obtain a J3 license which is the dream of the club.
The stadium has a total capacity of 5,077 people, mostly seated in the partially-covered main stand which can accommodate 1,912 people. Around the other three sides of the ground is lawn seating. There is as yet no electronic scoreboard.
Veertien Mie
Veertien Mie compete in the Japan Football League (JFL), the fourth tier of football in Japan.
The ladies' team Veertien Mie Ladies play in the Nadeshiko League.
The club was founded as Veertien FC as recently as 2012. The name Veertien means '14' in Dutch and is in honor of the legendary former Ajax and Barcelona star Johan Cruyff who famously wore the number 14 shirt. Their name changed to Veertien Mie in 2015.
By 2017 the club had reached the JFL after five consecutive promotions beginning from the depths of the Mie Prefectural League Division 3. Club colors are orange shirts and dark shorts.
The team has something of a bitter Mie Prefecture rivalry with Atletico Suzuka who once had the J.League's first MVP Kazu Miura in their ranks.
The club is known for family-friendly matchday events with food supplied by local food trucks (キッチンカー, kicchin kā) and lots of enthusiastic entertainment.
The ground has staged Emperor's Cup games and also matches in the National High School Soccer Championship.
Access - Getting There
The closest station is Toin Station on the Sangi Railway Hokusei Line, from here it is 15 minutes on foot. Alternatively it is a 30-minute walk from Hokusei-Chuo-Koen-guchi Station on the same line.
The Sangi Hokusei Line runs from Kuwana Station on the Kintetsu Line from Nagoya Station (Express trains take about 35 minutes between Nagoya and Kuwana).
There are infrequent buses from both Toin and Hokusei-Chuo-guchi to near the stadium. From Toin Station take the Orange Bus North-South Line (Sanwa/Inabe route) bound for "Hokusei Chuo Koen-guchi" and get off at "Kyogijo" (travel time is 5 minutes). From Hokusei Chuo Koen-guchi Station on the Sangi Railway Sangi Line ride the Orange Bus North-South Line (Sanwa/Inabe route) bound for "Toin Station" and get off at "Kyogijo" (travel time is 12 minutes).
There is plenty of matchday parking available.
