City Stadium (aka Gradski stadion / Stadion kraj Bistrice) is the home stadium of FK Sutjeska Nikšić of the Montenegrin First League and occasionally stages games of the Montenegrin national football team. It has hosted a Nations League match, Montenegro v Wales in 2024 and a World Cup Qualifier against the Faroe Islands in 2025.

The ground is the second largest stadium in Montenegro after Podgorica City Stadium (Stadion pod Goricom). The pitch size is the standard 105 x 70 meters, featuring a natural grass surface and a running track. It is one of three stadiums in Montenegro that has a UEFA license to stage international matches.

History

The first formal stadium at this site was built in 1945, although football grounds existed earlier in Nikšić. In the 1960s, stands surrounded the pitch on all sides, and capacity reached approximately 15,000 spectators.

2001 renovations saw the demolition of the old north and south stands and construction of a new east stand, reducing capacity to around 10,800. After Montenegrin independence in 2006, to meet UEFA standards, standing areas were removed, reducing seating once again to 5,214. Floodlights were finally installed in 2015 and used first during a night game between Sutjeska and Lovćen on 7 August 2016. In 2019, a contract was signed to reconstruct the west stand, initially planned for completion by end of 2022. It was officially opened in August 2024.
