Facilities
The ground has pylon style floodlighting and artificial turf. There are also three grass pitches in the overall complex.
Club
Nicknamed 'The Lions' or 'The Ambers' the team plays in Amber shirts and shorts with black stripes on the shirts. Basford (pronounced 'Base-fud') United was formed in 1900. They compete in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands after relegation following the 2024-25 season from the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
*Kimberley Miners Welfare FC will play their home fixtures at Greenwich Avenue during the 2025-26 season while their home ground, the Stag Ground is refurbished.
Access - Getting There
The stadium is in the Basford area of Nottingham, north of the city center.
From Nottingham railway station take a tram travelling to Hucknall or Phoenix Park to the ground.
Highbury Vale is the nearest tram stop and is about 10 minutes (half a mile) on foot.
The following buses are also useful. Nottingham City Transport (NCT) services '70 City - Bulwell Morrisons and L11 Arnold - Beeston both stop at the end of Greenwich Avenue.
The 71 City - Bulwell Morrisons to Percy Street and 68 City - Snape Wood or 69 City - Hempshill Vale to Basford Crossings also stop close to the ground.
Bulwell station on the Nottingham to Worksop Robin Hood line is a 20 minute walk away or a short tram ride.

Accessibility
Wheelchair access is available via a side entry gate at the turnstiles or through the main reception, which has lift access to the main bar. Stewards on arrival can direct those with a Blue Badge or who require assistance to appropriate parking spaces.
