The ground has floodlighting and a 3G artificial pitch (rubber crumb). The two-story pavilion has changing rooms for the team, rooms for the officials, a community room, and accessible toilets. The multi-use activity pitch was first constructed in 2007 with the sports zone itself completed in 2015. In addition there is also a sand-based, synthetic turf pitch and a MUGA (multi use games area).

Nicknamed 'The Cavs' FC Cavaliers are a grassroots club based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The team formed in 1978 and competes in the Euro Soccer Nottinghamshire Senior League Euro Soccer Premier Division, Level 11 of the English football league system. This is Step 7 of the non-league pyramid. The league is a high-level feeder league into the Northern Counties East League Division One or the United Counties League Division One. The team plays in green and black.

Community football club Sherwood FC also train and play home games at the FSZ.

Access - Getting There

The Forest Sports Zone is a 10 minute drive north of Nottingham Station. By public transport take a Phoenix Park-bound tram 6 stops to The Forest Tram Stop.

There is on-site parking for around 100 cars. The facility is open from 9 am to 10 pm daily.
