The RM Stadium in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire is the home ground of Hucknall Town in the United Counties League Premier Division North. For sponsorship reasons the ground is known as the RM Stadium as it is sponsored by RM Resources (an educational resources company in the town). When first opened the ground was known as Aerial Way.
Capacity
The stadium has a capacity of around 4,000 with 270 seats in the main stand. Previously Hucknall played at Watnall Road (now a Lidl store) just across the road from their current ground until their move in 2023. The new ground was officially opened by the then Mansfield Town manager, Nigel Clough, son of legend Brian Clough.
Facilities
The ground has pylon style floodlighting and a natural turf pitch. There is a covered stand along one side of the pitch and behind one of the goals. All 270 seats are in the main stand down the side of the pitch. Other than the main stand and behind one goal it is hard standing.
The bar/clubhouse serves tea, alcoholic drinks and refreshments (burgers, chips, piesetc) and can take card payments.
Club
Nicknamed 'The Yellows' or simply 'The Town' Hucknall Town were formed in 1946 as Hucknall Colliery Welfare. In 1987 the club's name changed to Hucknall Town. Over the years the club have enjoyed some notable successes including winning the Northern Premier League in the 2003-04 season and winning the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup seven times, the most recent win coming in 2024-25. Before that the club had financial problems for a period and dropped as low as the Central Midlands League South Division in 2012 - a league they escaped in the 2018-19 season by winning it.
Access - Getting There
Arial Way is 8 miles north of Nottingham Station. By public transport take a Hucknall-bound tram from just outside the station. Ride 17 stops and then get off at Hucknall tram stop. Alternatively the 141 bus goes from Victoria Bus Station to Hucknall.
From here it would be a 30-minute walk or take a bus either the 34 to Ilkeston or a more frequent but less direct Connect Bus (get off at Brett Close).
