Cliftonhill Stadium - often referred to simply as Cliftonhill and currently branded as "The Reigart Stadium" for sponsorship reasons - is a football venue located in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It has served as the home ground of Albion Rovers F.C. since 1919. The club presently compete in the Lowland League, the fifth tier of football in Scotland.

The small stadium has a capacity for 1,572 spectators with 472 seats. The ends behind the goals are open and not used for watching games.

The playing surface is presently natural turf with floodlighting first installed in 1968. The floodlights in place now come from Cardiff Arms Park when it was demolished to make way for the Millennium Stadium in 1997.

There are plans to replace the grass with artificial turf in the future to create a community sports hub.

Club History

Formed in 1882 following a merger of Coatbridge sides Albion FC and Rovers FC, Albion Rovers FC nicknamed "Wee Rovers," joined the Scottish Football League Second Division initially in 1903 before returning in 1919.

They played for 120 years in the Scottish Football League before being relegated to the Lowland League in 2023. Known for their yellow/red colors, they reached the 1920 Scottish Cup Final (losing 3-2 to Kilmarnock), and also secured the League Two title in 2015.

The team's biggest rivals are Airdrieonians.

Access - Getting There

Coatbridge is about 14 km east of Glasgow. The ground is situated within walking distance of the Coatdyke train station to the north.

Getting to Coatdyke train station from Edinburgh involves taking a direct train from Edinburgh's Waverley Station, with a journey time of around 1 hour to 80 minutes.

From Glasgow direct trains run frequently from Glasgow Central, High Street, or Queen Street stations, with the fastest journeys taking just 17-23 minutes.

Whifflet Station is also around 25 minutes on foot south of the ground with frequent connections to Glasgow Central.

The 42, 42A, 201 Lanarkshire and 222 buses all stop outside the ground.
